Pipette is an indispensable experimental instrument in biological research, and the number of its accessories in the experiment is also very large. The suction head on the market is basically made of polypropylene plastic (colorless transparent plastic with high chemical inertia and wide temperature range). However, for the same kind of polypropylene, the quality will vary greatly: the high-quality suction head is usually made of natural polypropylene, while the low-cost suction head is likely to use recycled polypropylene plastic (in this case, we can say at most that its main component is polypropylene). In addition, a small amount of additives will be added in the manufacturing process of most absorbers. The common ones are: 1. Color developing materials. In the market, commonly known as blue gun head (1000ul) and yellow gun head (200ul), it is to add corresponding color developing materials into polypropylene (we hope it is high-quality color masterbatch, not low-cost industrial pigment); 2. Release agent. Help the suction head to break away from the die quickly after forming. Of course, the more additives there are, the higher the probability of undesirable chemical reactions occurring during the pipetting process. So it's best not to add additives! However, due to the high requirements of the production process, the sucker without additives is rare in the market.
